Handcrafting products in a sustainable way has always been important from the beginning of KYODAI - and our Dumplings are no exception.

Made from start to finish in our South London studio, our Dumplings are produced in small batches or on a made to order basis.

This perfect little Dumpling is made from dead-stock hair on leathers, over produced by the fashion industry.

Inside the bag you’ll find a lovely soft organic cotton lining, with a patch pocket to separate your contents. She is securely fastened by a YKK brass zipper and finished with our signature strong brass floral hardware.

She can be worn on the shoulder and across the body by extending the cute scalloped edge strap. Or even double up the strap and hold her for the cutest evening bag.

We use no toxic glues and all of our bags are strengthened inside either using scrap leather or biodegradable fabrics.

Care for your hairy bag

Hair on hides are naturally water resistant but do not wear this bag when it’s wet, as this can cause the hair to fall out when rubbed against you. Let it fully dry before wearing again.

Avoid rubbing against any rough fabrics, surfaces, walls and floors.

Spot clean with mild soap and warm water and let it fully dry.

(Our components are solid brass, there are no toxic coatings smoothing out the metal so there may be a few tiny defects from time to time. This is also the same for the leather I use, as it’s dead stock the same applies.

This is a conscious choice to make a product that’s as planet friendly as possible from the start.)
